Barkly Regional Arts presents a night of performance and spoken word.  Featuring Laurie May (The Dirty Word), and Mary Anne Butler – who will be performing a 30 minute piece from her renowned production Highway of Lost Hearts, this will be an intimate space for all those who appreciate performance, spoken word and poetry. Mary Anne Butler will also be running a two hour workshop in short story writing from 10am – 12pm in the BAT (Barkly Arts Theatrette).

Heading back to Tennant Creek, Laurie May (The Dirty Word) brings her heartfelt storytelling style to the Barkly. Sharing tales of resistance and shining a new light on poverty and capitalism, Laurie will have you laughing and crying at the same time. The Dirty Word provides a space for you to cut free linguistically, creatively and harmoniously. So bring your stories, poems and your beautiful faces to THE BAT (Barkly Arts Theatrette) for a night of poetry.
