Bush tomato or Nganjawarli* is a very sweet delicacy as a bush tucker. It grows in the rocky area. One of the most common place to find them is in the surrounding of Three Ways. The fruit is considered ripped when its color turns into a green-yellow but the black seeds need to be removed.
In Tennant Creek, people are still collecting bush tucker to feed their family and provide a healthy alternative to Western foods. It is also a good opportunity for the whole family to meet and learn about the bush.
