This painting is part of a project of listening audio recording of the 1960s conducted by Dr Samantha Disbray (ANU) for the book "Voices of Warumungu Land" from late 2018 early 2019.

In the workshop, a discussion started after listening Max Jangali about the importance of the skin names and the connection with the animals.

About the Artist

Heather Anderson is an artist from Tennant Creek born in Alroy Downs, she is the cousins of Lindy Brodie and Gladys Anderson.  She started to paint in school at Rockhampton Downs where Gladys was working as an assistant teacher.  She later joined Julalikari Arts as a painter when Alan Murn was working.
