Bush tucker – Elliott

The bush tuckers painting in Elliott is a common topic for the artists in the Northen part in the Barkly. They always use this painting to teach to the kids what to eat and what not to eat and at which season the fruits are riped.

It is always about local plants and local knowledge shared by women and men. The common ones in Mudburra are Kinyuwurru (small bush onions), Kilibi (bush bananas), Nyikurruyurru (bush coconut) and Bunayingmi (wild oranges).
